Brianna Deeprose
As a communications designer and creative practitioner who herself has a chronic illness, Brianna Deeprose addresses issues of accessibility, empowerment and representation of people with disabilities and chronic illnesses in her work as part of the community. After her training in visual communication, she studied process design at the HGK FHNW. In her own film projects, she analyzed the portrayal of people with disabilities and chronic illnesses in film and examined the perspective from which their stories are often told. As the festival director, she sees it as a necessity to continue to bring the most versatile and diverse stories possible to the screen.
Nicole Schmid
The linguist and literary scholar is involved in various (socio)cultural projects that focus on diversity and inclusion, among other things. In addition to her work for look&roll, Nicole Schmid also works for the Litar Foundation and the intercultural organisation voCHabular. She also worked as a subtitler in the theatre and for many years in the cinema, where she developed her passion for film.
Jasmin Rechsteiner
Ambassador for people with disabilities for the past 20 years. Social worker specialising in impairment and disability, among other things. Long-standing look&roll visitor and President of the “look&roll Association” since 2023.
Natalie Berger
Natalie Berger is a lawyer and head of the Specialist Centre for the Rights of People with Disabilities in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. She previously worked as a moderator, lecturer and project manager in the areas of inclusion, participation and communication, including many years at Radio X. From 2012 to 2020, she was Coordinator of Diversity and Sustainable Development at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts FHNW.
